MicroRNA Regulatory Network: Structure and Function - Köp billig

Post-transcriptional regulation mediated by miRNAs is a highly conserved mechanism utilized by organisms throughout phylogeny to fine tune gene expression. microRNAs (miRNAs) are short (∼23nt) non-coding transcripts that act as potent post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression. miRNAs identify their target RNAs through sequence complementarity and guide the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) in order to induce cleavage, degradation and/or translation suppression in the case of protein coding genes (1). miRNAs exhibit a central regulatory role in animals and plants, controlling core biological processes and mechanisms. The latest release of miRBase (v22) contains microRNA sequences from 271 organisms: 38 589 hairpin precursors and 48 860 mature microRNAs. We describe improvements to the database and website to provide more information about the quality of microRNA gene annotations, and the cellular functions of their products. Circulating platelet microRNAs (thrombomiRs ®) are novel biomarkers for intrinsic and on-treatment platelet reactivity. thrombomiRs ® are secreted from platelets during their activation and can be detected in plasma and serum. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play a key role in fine-tuning host immune homeostasis and responses through the negative regulation of mRNA stability and translation. microRNA controls gene expression mainly by binding with messenger RNA ( mRNA) in the cell cytoplasm.
